The Churchyard Task Force

We would love you to join our team

The Task Force generally meets once a month on a Saturday morning, although members do come to mow and strim whenever they are able and when the weather allows.

You don't have to be super fit - it's not all mowing and strimming, there are lots of other smaller jobs that volunteers undertake.
If you are interested in keeping the churchyard spiritually uplifting as well as environmentally friendly we'd love to hear from you.

We work closely with the Eco Church group to develop the churchyard to be as environmentally friendly and spiritually uplifting as possible.
 
The Churchyard Task Force was formed about three years ago when the Local Church Committee (LCC) decided that it could no longer afford to pay for a professional contractor to mow the churchyard.

A group of volunteers from the congregation and the local community was consequently formed and now includes about 12 members. Mowing and strimming equipment was purchased along with other relevant gardening tools and machines.
