EARLY VOICES FESTIVAL 2026
Songs and Stories
25 April & 6–10 May 2026

Early Voices 2026 invites you to experience a vibrant celebration of music and storytelling from across cultures and centuries. Under the theme ‘Songs and Stories’, this year’s festival explores how music has always been a powerful way of sharing tales, myths, and memories, spanning medieval European, Finnish, and Indian repertoires.

Set mainly in the beautiful medieval church of St Illtud’s in Llantwit Major, with events also taking place in Cowbridge, the festival brings together internationally acclaimed performers, exciting emerging ensembles, and new artistic collaborations.

Alongside concerts, a programme of outreach and family events aims to inspire listeners of all ages, welcoming new audiences into the world of Early Music.

Early Voices Festival is supported by Arts Council of Wales, Ty Cerdd, Colwinston Trust, Llantwit Major Town Council, and Susan and Michael Doolan.
The concert on the 8 th of May is supported by Continuo Foundation.

The family event on 9 May is free of charge.

Concert prices range from £13-17, and U16 tickets are free.
There is a festival pass for all five concerts for £65, and a Cowbridge day pass for £25.
